    As an organization with a mission to serve children, it is our duty to make certain the children are kept safe. Background checks may be run randomly and/or periodically when we deem suspect of a person's behavior. It is a common known fact child molesters and other perpetrators try to absorb themselves into areas where children are known to be. (parks, events, etc) 

    Being a felon does not necessarily dismiss your application. Being a felon with a criminal record against a child or a domestic charge against anyone, is. 
    Volunteer Code of Ethics and Conduct
    To ensure all participants and volunteers have the best experience possible, we have adopted the following Code of Ethics and Conduct. 

    *I will fulfill the responsibilities of my assignment(s). 
    *I will be mindful of event time and requirements to assist in a smoothly operated event.
    *I will set a good example for the participants as well as the community. 
    *I will be a team player demonstrating good citizenship and cooperation. 
    *I will be vigilant and aware of the safety of participants and all involved.
    *I will encourage and foster independence. 
    *I will be an advocate for full inclusion by ensuring equal access to all activities. 

    **All volunteers under the age pf 18 must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian during volunteer hours.
